Presented by Emily Westphal, Director of Education and Communications for One Safe Place, and recorded live in front of an audience at the May 16, 2015 Northstate Prehospital Spring Conference.

The mission of One SAFE Place is to provide intervention and safety to a community affected by domestic and sexual abuse. Our vision is a community free of domestic and sexual abuse. We are committed to serving with Integrity, Excellence, Compassion, Teamwork, and Respect. This webcast provides insight and awareness of sdomestic and sexual abuse. Watch and to learn about solutions to these problems. This webcast aims to aid and train emergency medical personnel. There is an excellent test review at the end to help you with testing after the webcast!

Emily earned her degree in Human Communications from Southern Oregon University, along with a Certificate of Nonprofit Management. As a State of California Governor's Office of Emergency Services (CalOES) certified Crisis Intervention Advocate in domestic violence and sexual assault, she currently serves as the Director of Education and Communications for One SAFE Place. In this role, she is the primary advocacy trainer and oversees education, outreach, and community engagement efforts for the organization. Emily is also responsible for developing and implementing violence prevention and safety curriculum at area elementary, middle, and high schools, along with sexual violence prevention and intervention on local university campuses. She leads the Camp HOPE program, which provides a summertime camping experience rooted in resiliency and character values for area youth exposed to domestic and sexual abuse.
