For the Pursuance of Study as EMT-Is, EMT-IIs, Paramedics, or Mobile Intensive Care Nurses

Scholarships originate from a variety of sources to support the professional development of EMS practitioners. This page will outline, in alphabetical order, the various scholarships available in the Nor-Cal EMS area and direct you by clicking on the title of the scholarship to the specific web page for each scholarship to help you understand who awards the scholarship and why they support continuing education through this specialized funding as well as provide information on how to donate to or receive from the scholarship fund.

Carl Lindberg Memorial Scholarship

The Carl Lindberg Scholarship fund was established in the 1970's in honor of the first Executive Director of the Northern California EMS agency. Scholarships are awarded annually to members of the Nor-Cal EMS system who are pursuing studies as EMT-Is, EMT-IIs, Paramedics, or Mobile Intensive Care Nurses. Recipients must live in a county contracting with Nor-Cal EMS.

Conrad Anderson Paramedic Scholarship

The Conrad Anderson Paramedic Scholarship was established in honor of Conrad Anderson who was a long standing and respected member of the EMS community for many years in the Nor-Cal EMS region. After purchasing “Redding Ambulance” and changing its name to “North Valley Ambulance”, he transformed the basic life support service to one providing advanced life support. During that time he supported his staff and personally funded their education to become licensed as paramedics.

The scholarship funds listed above are administered by Northern California EMS, Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit public benefit corporation. All contributions are tax deductible.
